CALL FOR PAPERS
for a scholarly conference
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in a philological forum on the following topic:
The Unspoken and Silence in Language and Literature
This academic conference is intended for young researchers: BA, MA and PhD students and postdocs. It is going to take place on 21 November 2025 in the New Conference Hall of Sofia University.
The thematic areas of the conference include:
- Languages of the unspoken
- Whisper and cry in language and literature
- Control and censorship
- Context and subtext in language and literature
- What is said between the lines
Working languages: Bulgarian and English.
You are kindly invited to submit your proposals (comprising a title and a brief abstract) by 30 October 2025 to: philol.forum@uni-sofia.bg.
The authors of papers presented at the conference may submit their work for publication in the Philological Forum or its associated series Experior and Event and Text. Submissions will be considered for publication if they comply with the editorial guidelines and successfully pass double-blind peer review.
No conference fee is required.
The event is organized under the project Young Scholars: Research Endeavors. Philological Forum, Series Event and Text, funded by the Research Fund of the Faculty of Slavic Studies at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” project No. 80-10-136 / 3.6.2025.
